MONTREAL – The Canadiens announced on Thursday that they’ve agreed to terms with forward Joel Armia on a two-year contract. Here’s a look at his first season with the Habs in numbers.
13 – In his first season in a Canadiens uniform, the 26-year-old Finn set a new career high with 13 goals in 57 games.
2 – Among those 13 goals, two of them came on the man advantage – and they were his first two career power play goals.
2 – Armia scored two game-winning goals for the Habs in 2018-19, matching his career high set the previous season with the Winnipeg Jets.
1 – On March 1, the Canadiens forward scored his first career hat trick in a 4-2 win over the Rangers in New York.
6 – Armia finished the season with six power play points, which beats his previous high of four in 2017-18 with Winnipeg.
